Dr Werner Ihm, born in Euskirchen, studied medicine at RWTH Aachen University from 1980-1987 and obtained his doctorate in 1988. After qualifying as a specialist in diagnostic radiology in 1997, he set up a joint practice with Dr Fernand Honinx in Heinsberg on 1 July 1999.
He specialises in magnetic resonance imaging, computer tomography and CT-guided pain therapy. He is married and has three adult children.
Dr. med. Frank Steidle
Specialist in diagnostic radiology
Dr Steidle was born in Düren and also went to school there. After completing his military service in Geilenkirchen, he began studying physics in Aachen.
He studied human medicine in Cologne until 1995 and then moved to the Elisabeth Hospital in Essen for the AIP in internal medicine.
After a short period in radiotherapy at the clinics of the Märkischer Kreis Lüdenscheid, he moved to the clinics of the city of Cologne, Holweide, for further training in diagnostic radiology in 1998.
In 2000, he moved to the Institute for Radiological Diagnostics at Lukaskrankenhaus Neuss. Recognised as a specialist in diagnostic radiology in 2002 and appointed senior physician in 2003.
Since 2006 he has been working in a group practice in Heinsberg.
He specialises in cross-sectional imaging diagnostics, prostate MRI and CT-guided pain therapy. He has the highest quality level Q2 for prostate MRI imaging and diagnosis with health insurance authorisation and has been a certified diagnostician for lung cancer screening according to ESTI since 2024

After studying human medicine at RWTH Aachen University and completing her doctorate at the Institute of Neuroradiology at RWTH Aachen University in 2013, she continued her medical training in Stolberg, Düren and Aachen.
In 2019, she practised as a radiology specialist in Aachen and since 2020 in Heinsberg.
In 2023, she took over the practice from Dr (B) Honinx in Heinsberg and in the Aachen-Düren-Heinsberg mammography screening unit. Her main areas of expertise as a specialist are cross-sectional imaging diagnostics, CT-guided pain therapy and breast diagnostics.
Felix Engel
Specialist in diagnostic radiology
Mr Engel joined Heinsberg Radiology in 2023 as a specialist in radiology and will take over from Dr Ihm in 2025.
He was born in Hilden and grew up near Brussels in Belgium. After graduating from the European School Brussels 1, he studied human medicine at the Universite Catolique de Louvain in Brussels and at the RWTH Aachen. After completing his studies, he continued his medical training in hospitals in Düren and was recognised as a specialist in radiology in 2014. Most recently, he worked as a senior consultant in radiology at St. Marien Hospital in Düren and part-time in the radiology practice at the MVZ of St. Marien Hospital in Düren.
He specialises in magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography as well as CT-guided pain therapies.
Member of the German and European Radiological Society.
